The DBRC partnership

The Devon Biodiversity Records Centre (DBRC) was established to gather, manage and disseminate data about Devon's Wildlife. DBRC takes a partnership approach based upon shared objectives and offers mutual benefits to those involved. It aims to establish the kind of network of knowledge and intelligence which Devon needs if it is to safeguard and promote the interests of its rich natural terrestrial and marine environment over the next millennium.

Partnership within DBRC is manifested through the DBRC forum. This provides funding partners, recording groups and other interested parties with an opportunity for discussion and information sharing about issues central to the operation of the records centre. The Executive Group oversees the strategic direction of DBRC, as well as approving and monitoring its annual work programme and budgets. The Executive group currently consists of Devon County Council, Devon Wildlife Trust, The Environment Agency and Natural England.

DBRC currently holds Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to provide data and services to:

Dartmoor National Park; Devon County Council; Devon Wildlife Trust; Environment Agency; Exeter City Council; Mid Devon District Council; Natural England; North Devon District Council; Plymouth City Council; South Hams District Council; South West Water; Teignbridge District Council; Torbay Council; Torridge District Council; West Devon Borough Council.
