South West NBN habitat inventories

The National Biodiversity Network Habitat Inventories project was piloted in the south-west region.  The project aimed to produce GIS-based inventories for all Biodiversity Action Plan priority habitats in the region.  The project was run by English Nature (now Natural England) and involved DBRC and the other Local Records Centres within the south-west.

Selected BAP priority habitats were mapped, using aerial photo interpretation, and existing datasets.  This included County Wildlife Site survey data, SSSI data from English Nature and habitat survey data from the various partners. standard methodology.
